Acronis adds Dicker Data NZ as distie

Dicker Data NZ has partnered with Acronis, to distribute the latter's security solutions.

These include the flagship product, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, and other applications such as Virus Bulleting VB100 certified anti-malware, disaster recovery, endpoint security solutions and management tools.

Acronis head of ANZ channels, David Clarke, said the distie tie-up with Dicker Data NZ is a  key partnership for the company, and will bring opportunities that allows the security vendor to grow its Auckland data centre footprint.

Lou Nunn, Dicker Data NZ's business unit manager said Acronis is an integral part of the distributor's goal to provide its resellers with access to the best security and data management solutions currently available in hte market.

Acronis was founded in Singapore in 2003 by Leningrad (now St Petersburg) born Dr Serguei Beloussov who also set up virtualisation company Parallels.

It is incorporated in Switzerland since 2008, with offices in 19 countries and 2000 employes.

The company claimes its products are used by over 20,000 service providers who in turn protect over 750,000 businesses.

United States headquartered distributor Pax8 which competes with Dicker Data on both sides of the Tasman and which recently bought Microsoft Cloud Solutions provider Umbrellar, said in May this year that it had launched with Acronis, Check Point, Bitdefender, CyberCNS, Dropsuite, Proofpoint and SentinelOne as its vendor partners, for managed service providers in the ANZ market.
