Trans-Tasman cyber security firm CyberCX has announced that it has bought New Zealand and Australian cloud security professional services companies Consegna and Tracer Cloud.

Consegna specialises in solutions for Amazon Web Services customers and is the first New Zealand company to be awared AWS Premier Consulting Partner status.

With 150 employees and offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, Consegna counts the University of Auckland, Inland Revenue, Vector and Department of Conservation as customers.

Tracer Cloud has offices in Canberra and Sydney, and targets federal, state and local government customers in Australia, providing security professional services across multiple enviroments, including Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google Cloud and hybrid cloud.

The acquisitions are expand cloud security services on both sides of the Tasman with exceptional scale and capability, according to CyberCX chief executive John Paitaridis. 

CyberCX did not reveal how much it spent on acquiring Consegna and Tracer Cloud.

Update June 9: A spokesperson for CyberCX told CRN NZ that there will be no redundancies from the acquisitions.

"CyberCX will be investing and growing the acquired business," the spokesperson said.

"There will be no immediate changes to either company's brand or identity; however, their logos will be updated to reference that they are now part of the CyberCX group," the spokesperson added.
