Aotearoa-born systems integrator Datacom has been recognised as the APAC partner of the year by US-based IT asset management (ITAM) software vendor Flexera.
Flexera names just one partner for each of the APAC, EMEA and North America regions in its awards, recognising them for providing solutions and services that drive success, business value and a strong return on investment for customers, the company said in a statement.
Datacom was tapped for the award year for the APAC region due to its wins in the government and healthcare sector and success in achieving outcomes with software and hardware management within its cloud migration strategy.
Datacom technical services director Mark Hile told CRN that the recognition affirms that the company is driving value for customers by solving ITAM challenges by “placing workloads and applications on the most appropriate cloud platform for their business outcomes”.
“Flexera’s cloud migration planning tools are instrumental when it comes to our ability to provide this independent cloud approach. Additionally, Flexera supports our IT asset management solutions, ensuring we return maximum value for our customers,” Hile said.
Since its foundation in 1965, Datacom has grown to become one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s biggest tech companies.
The privately-owned company has offices across its home country, a presence in five of Australia’s six states plus the ACT, as well as locations in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.
The other winners of Flexera’s 2022 partner awards included the North American arm of Switzerland-based SoftwareONE for North America and the UK-headquartered Softline Group for EMEA.
“Each year, it’s an honour to reflect on and recognise Flexera’s partners of the year,” said Flexera alliances vice president and general manager Cindy Grogan.
“Our winners ensure they have an unflinching focus on meeting customer needs. Each of these organisations brings cutting-edge solutions to complex business challenges. Congratulations to each winner.”
