Security services provider DEFEND has been named Microsoft's Partner of the Year for New Zealand, in the software giant's 2022 global awards, for its work with organisations to boost their cyber resilience.
Microsoft Australia and New Zealand chief partner officer Rachel Bondi said DEFEND helped Foodstuffs North Island build a best-in-class modern and secure supply chain, which enabled the grocery chain to ensure that food was on shelves during COVID-19.
DEFEND's efforts meant Foodstuffs North Island could spend more time focusing on higher-value areas of their business, Bondi said.
