Enterprise software vendor SAP held its fourth annual Best Run Awards in Sydney, with companies competing in twelve categories.
New Zealand cooperative Fonterra, which said it produces 30 per cent of the world's dairy exports, took out the Best Run SAP Intelligent ERP - Cloud award for 2022.
Fonterra pitched its Project Phoenix as a solution to mitigate three of its existing systems nearing memory capacity, posing significant operational risks.
Project Phoenix used SAP's S/4 HANA Central Finance, and Financial Supply Chain Management, along with Enterprise Ware Management System.
As part of the technically complex Project Phonix, SAP migrated to the SAP Private Cloud Edition.
Live operations, significant integrations and high visibility were other complicating factors for Project Phoenix which was nevertheless delivered on time and on budget without business disruptions.
Hardware retail chain Mitre 10 used SAP Qualtrics to improve its outdated, inflexible and cumbersome customer data gathering programme, to earn the Best Run SAP Experience Management award.
The new SAP based system operates across Mitre 10 New Zealand's network of retail stores, providing customer feedback for analysis and data to action in order to improve the company's experience offering.
Managing director of SAP Australia and New Zealand, Damien Bueno, said the awards showcased how the entrants implement the right technology to achieve their current and future ambitions.
