Joshua Reedy has been named as Kordia Group's chief information security officer, to be responsbile for the state-owned connectivity and security company's cyber information security posture.
Reedy was with Vodafone NZ prior to joining Kordia, where he held the position of security services manager.
At Vodafone, Reedy managed a team of 25 and was responsible for the telco's security operations centre (SOC) and incident response.
He also held an information security leadership position at telco 2degrees and holds a degree in Computer Science and Psychology from the University of Waikato.
Reedy was described by Kordia Group chief digital officer Aaron Olphert as a natural choice for the role.
“Joshua has had hands-on experience leading internal security teams and driving uplifts in business environments similar to our own,” Olphert said.
Reedy will be based in Auckland.
