PwC announces buy of Salesforce consultancy Be Intelligent

Professional services company PriceWaterhouseCoopers has bought Be Intelligent, a Salesforce consultancy, for an undisclosed sum, with the deal concluding last month.

Be Intelligent was co-founded by Mikal Todd in 2018, and specialises in digital transformation and experience optimisation.

With a software engineer background, Todd has worked in a range of industries in Britain and in New Zealand.

Prior to setting up Be Intelligent, he consulted for Vector on Salesforce, and was the chief information officer of Solarcity New Zealand.

Todd will lead the enlarged Salesforce practice at PwC together with partner Jeff Casey, the professional services firm's lead for enterprise applications and technology driven transformation.

The acquisition takes the PwC Salesforce practice to 40 staff from 19 nationally.

As a first for PwC in the Asia Pacific region, the company has adopted Be Intelligent's Salesforce reseller status.

PwC said the acquisition of Be Intelligent strengthens the firm's industry focus in areas such as health, social and financial services, as well as energy and utilities.

In New Zealand, PwC employs over 1700 people with offices in the main cities, and Waikato, Hawke's Bay, Canterbury and Otago.

Earlier this month, Publicis Sapient acquired Salesforce consultancy Tquila ANZ.
